Bhuleshwar a temple dedicated to lord Shiva, situated around 45 kilometres from Pune and 10 km from Pune-Solapur highway. The temple is situated on a hill and was built in the 8th century. The name Bhuleshwar translates to “One who forgets” Once God shiva was angry with Mata Parvati and went far away from Mount Kailash. He came and sat in deep meditation at this hill of Bhuleshwar temple. To make god shiva forget his anger and bring him back to Mount Kailash, Mata Parvati took the form of beautiful maiden and danced at this place. Seeing her in this form god shiva came out of meditation , forget all his anger and went back to Mount Kailash with Mata Parvati.
