Priyanka Mohite: Built by Mountains. Driven by Grit. 🇮🇳⛰️ From the quiet hills of Satara, Maharashtra, to the most unforgiving summits on Earth, Priyanka Mohite’s journey is a story of courage earned the hard way. She didn’t inherit altitude or privilege — she built resilience step by step, breath by breath, driven by an unshakable love for the mountains. Her story began in the Sahyadri ranges, where curiosity turned into commitment and commitment into mastery. What followed was a rise that few in the world have achieved. In 2013, Priyanka became one of the youngest Indian women to summit Mount Everest (8,848 m). But she didn’t stop at the highest — she chose the hardest. In 2018, she climbed Mount Lhotse (8,516 m). In 2019, she made history as the first Indian woman to summit Mount Makalu (8,485 m). In 2021, she faced one of the world’s most dangerous peaks and became the first Indian woman to climb Mount Annapurna I (8,091 m). In 2022, she stood atop Mount Kangchenjunga (8,586 m). And in September 2025, she added Mount Manaslu (8,163 m) to her legacy. With this, Priyanka has climbed six of the world’s fourteen 8,000-meter peaks — a rare achievement globally, and a landmark moment for Indian mountaineering. Her grit has been recognized at the highest level. She received the Shiv Chhatrapati Maharashtra State Adventure Award (2019) and later the Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award (2021) — India’s highest honor in adventure sports. But beyond awards, her greatest impact lies in what she represents: possibility. Away from the mountains, Priyanka works in biosciences, contributing to research in biotechnology and health sciences. Yet her spirit always returns to high altitude — where fear is real, margins are thin, and belief is everything. Priyanka Mohite’s journey is proof that strength isn’t loud, courage isn’t comfortable, and limits are meant to be questioned. She represents the WithGrit spirit — choosing the toughest climbs, standing tall under pressure, and refusing to quit, no matter how high the mountain. #withgrit #mountaineering #everest
