If your toddler is bilateral but showing left-hand dominance, this is completely normal. Between 2–4 years, children may use both hands while the brain decides which side will lead. If the left hand consistently leads in fine motor tasks (drawing, eating, picking small objects), allow it to strengthen naturally — no correction needed. Support development by: ✔️ Placing tools slightly on the left ✔️ Tilting paper clockwise ✔️ Encouraging two-hand activities ✔️ Practicing crossing midline Concern only if after 4–5 years there’s no clear preference or overall weakness.
