Some years just don’t go how we hoped. You start with plans, energy, maybe even excitement, and then suddenly life hits you with things you didn’t see coming. You lose people. You lose control. You lose parts of yourself you thought were unshakable. You find yourself just trying to make it through one more week, one more morning, one more version of “I’m okay” that doesn’t even sound real anymore. Maybe it’s made you softer. Or stronger. Or just more real. Not everything we go through is meant to shine. Some things just build us quietly.I hope, as this year ends, you give yourself credit for holding on when everything felt uncertain. The truth is, seasons always change. They don’t ask for permission, they just do. Maybe the next one won’t fix everything, but it might feel lighter. It might bring people who make sense. It might remind you what peace feels like. You deserve that. You deserve to stop surviving and start breathing again. Maybe that’s what the rest of the year is for, not fixing everything , everything cant be fixed.
