We got to host our very special @chaiforcancer adda on a Sunday afternoon, which was so much more than chai and conversations. It was about stories, and music. But most importantly, it was about love, courage and that sense of lifelong community only a @vvsquare can bring together. Viji, I am so privileged to call you my own, and to be one of your cheerleaders. You make us all realise what love, grace, courage and resilience really looks like. And what goodness of one’s being in the face of everything looks like. The one with her heart on her sleeves and her value system out there for everyone to see and get inspired by, only Viji can get us all together for a cause and make it all look like a beautiful celebration We had @meghnaa_mital singing from her albums, who got the @satyanjali_trust over from Delhi to be a part of this adda. With her on harmonium was @khayalipurav and on tabla was @dhaivat_tabla, both young musical geniuses who made the entire jugalbandi and afternoon feel like this could have been the only way to be! More power to you, and to your music, you lovelies! ♥️🧿 And quietly, ever since I fixed the date, the one turning her magic wand on was @sariikasingh, planning and executing this afternoon like this was HER most precious performance (including all the rehearsals she made me do of my script 😘). @preetiagarwalmehta who came from Delhi a couple of days before her planned trip to help us pull this through. And to all my Andheri-Versova people who showed up with so much love and warmth and stayed on through the performance and through the evening, THANK YOU! May your every single contribution grow multifold, including the love you all brought in for us.
