Travel traps! Mostly by tour companies 1) Touristy overpriced destinations that lack authenticity. I saw so many, sadly in this trip : flea markets that were more expensive than stores with Indian products! Far away destinations (to justify the charges) that showed barely anything. 2) Repeating similar monuments just to charge and fill up time . It's not only a waste of money but a huge waste of energy and precious time abroad. 3) Resteraunt suggestions: mostly on commission, hence you eat there . Food might be average, prices high. 4) Shopping suggestions/store visits (free): they make up in HUGE commissions Tips for avoiding these: Do your research: Look for recommendations from local residents or travel bloggers who have experience with a particular destination.  Be wary of establishments near major attractions: These may be more likely to be tourist traps.  Look for authentic experiences: Seek out local-owned businesses or activities that offer a more genuine representation of the local culture.  Avoid tour packages that include tourist traps: Some tour packages may prioritize convenience over authentic experiences.  Bargain for souvenirs: It's often possible to get a better price if you bargain with vendors, especially in markets.  My travel wardrobe @design_solutions_delhi Art @theartloftnewdelhi Guest listing @headwayeventsmarketing What were the travel traps you experienced?
