Swipe to see @tajfalaknuma through my eyes. Some places aren’t hotels, they’re time machines, and Falaknuma is exactly that. Perched 2,000 ft above Hyderabad, my welcome began with a horse-drawn carriage, rose petals falling around me, and chandeliers glowing like scenes from another era. It felt less like arriving at a property and more like stepping into history. Everything here slows down and every corridor whispers old stories. A Scorpio shaped palace, complete with antique furniture, royal rooms, high ceilings, and views stretching far across the city. But what truly stayed with me, was the warmth. Taj hospitality is different. It doesn’t just serve you, it makes you feel something. My favourite moments: • A private live Qawwali performance under the night sky with Charminar in sight • Exploring the 101 Dining Hall, palace library, ballrooms and the lavish royal bedrooms • The evening palace tour, surreal and poetic • Calm walks through the courtyard and that iconic lobby view. I enjoy history, and Falaknuma made me fall in love with the place.
