🌶️❄️ Can chilli pepper plants survive winter? Absolutely! While chilli and pepper plants are often grown as summer annuals (especially in the UK), they’re actually perennials and can keep producing for years if overwintered correctly 🌱✨ 🏡 Overwintering indoors (best for a few plants): • Gently dig up the plant, keeping the root ball intact • Pot it up, water well, and place it on a warm, sunny windowsill ☀️🪴 • Keep it indoors until the next growing season 🏠 Overwintering outdoors (with protection): • Remove all fruits 🍃🌶️ • Prune heavily, leaving just a few Y-shaped branches ✂️ • Pot it up and move it to a greenhouse, shed, garage, or polytunnel • Provide light if possible and protect with fleece if needed The plants will go dormant over winter and reward you with an earlier, stronger harvest next season 🌱🌶️🙌 👉 Do you overwinter your pepper plants?
