HAPPY WORLD PRESS FREEDOM DAY 📰 I’ve never called myself just a journalist. I’ve always seen myself as many things at once. A journalist, an influencer, a social activist, a nature lover, a social entrepreneur, and above all, a voice for the people. But over time, things changed. Pressure came from different sides. Systems, police, politicians, administration, and even private businesses that didn’t want uncomfortable truths to be shown. Some believed everything has a price. My principles never did. And those who know me, know that. In recent months, I was even threatened by some police officials. And the reality is, as a middle-class person, fighting for justice for yourself isn’t easy. Sometimes, you stand for others, but when it comes to yourself, the system feels heavier. Anyone can make you a criminal by registering a case. Snatching, extortion, or anything else. This is the power of the system, and that’s the risk that comes with standing for truth. In our profession, there is hardly any unity. Instead, there is often a mindset of pulling each other down. That’s why I chose to slow down, not to step back, but to stay steady. My purpose was never noise, it was impact. With God’s grace, I continue, calm, committed, and careful.
