I visited Nepal for the first time in 2022 and it all started with a 5 minute conversation. My friend Raju told me that one of his friends, Bikash, a local from Nepal, had invited him over. He said, “I’m going to Nepal.” And I said not you but We are going. And we’re driving. Just like that, an impromptu plan turned into a month long road trip. We didn’t overthink the itinerary or book anything in advance. By the end of the trip, we had spent around ₹75,000 INR in total including fuel, the Nepal vehicle permit, accommodation, and food. Split between us, it worked out to roughly ₹1,250 per person, per day. For a month long international road trip, that felt like an absolute steal especially considering we weren’t constantly trying to cut costs. We just traveled, explored, and enjoyed the experience. One of my favorite memories was during the FIFA World Cup. We’d be casually walking through the streets of Pokhara or Kathmandu and suddenly come across huge projectors set up outdoors, with locals gathered together watching the match. We would stop, join the crowd for a while, soak in the atmosphere, and then continue wandering. Those unplanned moments often became the most memorable ones. Some of the best journeys aren’t the ones you’ve planned for months. They’re the ones that begin with, “Let’s go.” And five minutes later, you’re on your way. P.S. The sountrack you're listening to is the one we played everyday to vibe on the trip. A beautiful sunrise we witnessed from Sarangkot. The peak visible is Machapuchre also known as Fishtail The famous Drubar square of Kathmandu View of Kathmandu city from Monkey Temple Raju was caught up with his office work and I spent my evening alone here watching the sun go down at Fewa Lake in Pokhara Some where between Pokhara to Kathmandu Raju had made a friend in Pokhara who tagged along till Kathmandu and this created the distance between us(Just kidding) No am not. She stole my friend. First two nights in Kathmandu we were hosted by Bikash at his beautiful Mansion Do you know you can rent a boat for just 1200 Nepali Rupee for entire day and row the boat yourself. I did it twice Maya devi temple - The birth p
