As I step into the 25th year of my life in just 11 days, one thing has become clearer than ever is that everything I am and everything I have, belongs to this incredible woman,my Maa. She has been fighting for us since the day I was in her womb. She has carried responsibilities that most people couldn’t even imagine, yet she never once let us feel deprived. She became both a mother and a father, making sure we grew up surrounded by love, strength and security. And in return, she never asked for anything except to see her children healthy, happy and successful. She is going through one of the toughest battles of her life and if there’s one thing I know, it’s that no pain in this world can compare to what she has endured and continues to endure. There are days when I get angry at God for putting her through so much. But my Maa never complains. She smiles through the pain and says, ‘Ami toder strong maa, toder jonnyo bachte hobe.’ I might be turning 25 but the truth is, when I don’t see her face at home, my heart sinks. I feel numb. Lost. Clueless. The strength I thought I had suddenly disappears. It’s been more than a week since I’ve seen her when i wake up and all I wish for is her to come back home soon. Everything good about me exists because of her. Every value, every bit of strength, every achievement,I owe it all to her. How can I ever give up when I grew up watching her face every challenge with courage and a smile? I want one thing from you all, it’s your prayers for my mother. She is a fighter. My Maa Durga in human form. Please pray for her recovery. P.S. We are also looking for a kidney donor. If anyone has any information, guidance or can help in any way, please reach out. We would be forever grateful.
