The Sas-Bahu Temple, situated within the Gwalior Fort complex, is a sight to behold. It showcases the exemplary craftsmanship and architectural finesse of the 11th century. According to one story, the Sas-Bahu Temple was originally known as the Sahastrabahu Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is said that the temple was built by King Mahipala of the Kachchhapaghata dynasty in the 11th century. Another popular tale suggests that the temple was built by King Kirti Singh in honor of his mother-in-law and wife, symbolizing his respect and devotion towards them.
