I was one of those moms — no screen time, ever. Not because I judged others — but because I had made that choice for my daughter. So I became her playmate, entertainer, teacher, and jungle gym. Every. Single. Minute. There was no one else to share the load. And slowly… I was running on empty. I couldn’t focus on work. I couldn’t rest. I couldn’t even drink my coffee without a “Mumma, play with me!” But here’s what changed everything 👇 ✨ I stopped trying to be her everything. 🧸 I created a cozy, open-ended play corner — no flashy toys, just things she could explore. ⏱️ I set short, realistic play times where I told her “Mama’s working now, I’ll join you soon.” 💡 I praised her solo efforts — “Wow, you played all by yourself! You’re growing up!” 🎵 I sometimes added light music or story audio (not video) to keep her engaged. It wasn’t instant. But today, she plays on her own for 30–45 minutes at a time. No screens. No guilt. And finally, I get to work in peace.
