As we grow,not just in age, but in mindset, perception, and attitude,birthdays start to feel like just another day. I used to pay attention to who remembered, who wished me, who posted a story for me… and I’d feel validated by that. If someone didn’t, I’d take it personally. But this year felt different. I didn’t repost any birthday stories—not out of pride, but because I’ve realized how unintentionally pressured people can feel to do that. I think I’ve moved past needing that kind of validation.
