Having been born and brought up in Juhu, the sea has always been a quiet constant in my life, a silent witness to growing up, to change, and to everything in between. Over the years, I’ve watched Mumbai’s coastline evolve familiar neighbourhoods reshaped, skylines rising, old landmarks giving way to modern living. What was once languid, open seaside life has slowly blended into the pulse of a fast-moving city, without ever fully losing its soul. Yet, step a little away from the obvious, closer to the water, and the old Bombay still breathes.
