A lot of you girls have been asking me if it’s allowed to wear short dresses in Oman or do we need to dress modestly. So here’s my experience.‼️ 🫰🏻But first save this reel before it gets lost so you can plan your outfits accordingly. ☺️ ✨Yes it’s an islamic country so you do need to dress modestly but only at certain places like mosques, you need to cover your arms and legs, it’s mandatory. Sometimes, they don’t allow even if your hands have sheer fabric. So carry full jackets and pants otherwise you’ll have to rent an Abaya for 8 OMR. ✨Wearing shorts or anything above knee length is not allowed in Nizwa Fort. Sleeveless however is allowed. ✨Mutrah fort has no outfit objection but Mutrah has a high number of locals, and the women were stalking me way too much than men because I wore a slit dress. So if you’re not comfortable with such people, it’s better you wear full length outfits. ✨For beaches inside the city, bikinis aren’t allowed. They have hoardings regarding that, however short dresses were allowed. ✨For daymaniyat island tour, you can wear whatever you want. There’s no restrictions. ✨Again for wahiba sands, if you’re in a private camp, you can wear whatever you want but if you take a tour to the local households, you must dress decently.
