She took to her social media and shared the shocking incident that could have even taken her life if her dad hadn’t saved her. Taking to her IG handle, a while ago, Priya Malik shared that on the night of October 20, 2025, she faced a horrific incident while celebrating Diwali. The actress revealed that the flame of a diya engulfed her back while she was taking a selfie with her. She revealed that from her shoulder, bun to the entire back and bottom was engulfed in the fire even before she knew it. Priya could only see a flame rising from her shoulder, and within just a second, things turned horrific. Priya’s dad saved her by tearing her burning clothes apart, which was the only way to be saved. The incident left a traumatic mark in Priya’s memory, and she mentioned that she could never have imagined something like this could happen, and realised how a simple careless moment could have cost her life. She further added that she’s doing fine now and has superficial burns on her shoulder, back, and fingers.
