This was supposed to be a winter video. But winter didn’t really end, did it? I made Dutch bread from scratch at home quick, easy, no fancy setup, and definitely not cut perfectly (because real life). Then paired it with a Bengali-style chicken stew, the kind that feels warm even before you take the first bite. This is also my first video ‘technically’ of the year, so I wanted to pause and say Happy New Year properly. 2025 didn’t turn out the way I imagined. I expected growth, clarity, momentum but most days, it felt slow and heavy. Still, I cooked, I showed up, I kept creating. And maybe that counts as something. Inspired by one of my favourite YouTubers, but cooked in my own kitchen, in my own way this video is about comfort food, trying anyway, and letting things be imperfect but real. This is how my year begins 🤍 Chicken stew with fresh toasted bread 🍞 Ingredients: 🍞**bake the bread** Chicken broth: - Chicken - Water - Bay leaf - Ginger - Garlic Chop Vegetable: - Onion - Potato - Carrot - Beans (add it this and salt to the broth. Boil for 30 min and strain the broth) 🍞**bake the bread for 20 minutes at 200•c** Soup: - butter - Pepper - Peas - Maida - Broth - MSG - Milk - Chicken and veggies 🍞**toast the bread with bread** . . . . . . .
