GMDA is set to revamp two of the busiest arterial roads in the older part of the city at Rs 52 crore. This is the first major upgrade to be done on these road since the Authority was formed in 2018. Passing through densely populated areas that include a mix of planned sectors and unplanned colonies, both 30 m-wide stretches of the Basai Chowk–Old Railway Road and the Old Railway Road–IFFCO Chowk are among the most critical links in old Gurgaon. The roads also serve wholesale markets, commercial hubs and daily commuters, making them traffic bottlenecks.
