How can you Speak if you do not Read? During my sessions as a Communication Skills Trainer, one question I’m often asked is, “How do I improve the way I speak?” And my answer, more often than not, remains the same. Just Read. Read fiction. Read nonfiction. Read short stories. Read Poetry. Read theories about your favorite shows on Reddit or fanfics of your favorite movies. Anything, but at least something. If your mind doesn’t receive the words it requires, how can it release the words that YOU desire when you speak? Holding a book is my prep work. It is the fuel for every conversation I’m going to have tomorrow. If you want to speak bold, you have to load up on thoughts first. On the vocabulary, first and foremost. Start with one page a day if you must, but do start. #SpeakBold
