Happy 18, little sister. Watching you two grow in front of my eyes every day makes me realize that I’m actually getting old. And I know you guys keep saying why I behave like the boring one — but deep down, somewhere I feel that now it’s my time to become the boring and responsible one, so that you two can act a little irresponsibly (but just *ektu*, not too much) while you still can. Eighteen! Sounds fun and exciting, huh? But let me tell you one thing — 18 doesn’t just come with fun and freedom; it also brings a lot of responsibilities, duties, and pressures. The pressure of higher studies, work, career, and the worries of settling down. And as the days pass, these pressures and responsibilities will grow heavier on your shoulders. It’ll scare the shit out of you, and you’ll find yourself asking, *“But everyone said life gets easier after 18 — that it feels like a strawberry world. Why did nobody tell me about this side?”* But hey, 18 also gives you permission to do all the *paap kaaj* and the freedom to make your own decisions (thoda bohot). So don’t worry too much — do everything you want to (bas limit mein). Make mistakes, but learn from them quickly. Enjoy your freedom, and get scolded by your parents. And whenever you feel alone or in doubt, just come to us immediately — because we’ll always be there for you, ready to give you the most brutal reality check ever. Happy birthday, girl. May the universe give you everything your heart desires. And no matter how much turning 18 gives you permission for all these paap kaaj, I’ll still yell at you saying, “STFU, you’re too young to do all these things!” I love you a lottttt. ❤️🫶
