I genuinely think we need to normalize having a slow, simple day without putting pressure on ourselves to do something extra special just because it’s Valentine’s Day. Social media often creates so much FOMO and expectations, but maturity is realizing it’s okay to stay in your comfort zone and keep things simple. And it’s even okay to have an elaborate plan to make your loved one feel special - I truly believe “each to its own”! You don’t need to prove anything to anyone — not in real life, and definitely not in this REEL life. What truly matters is acknowledging your love, appreciating your partner’s presence, and valuing what they bring into your life. ❤️ Respect, recognition and reciprocation - that’s what I root for ❤️ Sometimes, a simple heartfelt “I LOVE YOU” is more than enough to remind each other that you’re each other’s Valentine — forever ❤️ Share this with someone who needs to read this 🥰
