Brand Peshawri has wowed loyal patrons of @itchotels, known for its focus on the highest culinary standards, with its uniquely robust North West frontier cuisine, unfettered by progressive etc tags! Hyderabadis got lucky with the addition of Peshawri to the F&B stable of ITC Kohenur, although it did exist very briefly at its sister concern ITC Kakatiya before it became K&K (Kebabs & Kurries)., The new Peshawri outlet is at the lobby level of @itckohenur and is fairly large with about 84 covers across separate spaces and nooks & corners too for more private dining. Loved the warm, earthy undertones of the ambience including the rough wooden benches, tables & chairs and the beautiful woven rugs and carpets from Afghanistan/Uzbekistan on the walls. There is a new cocktails menu being served in copper ware and the norm of no-cutlery but a big, wide apron so that you can get your hands dirty digging into the delectable food is so endearing. Try the Tandoori jhinga/Murgh, Sikandari Raan and their iconic dish Dal Bukhara (simmered on slow fire over 18 hours) with some tandoori rotis to know why and how the brand has endured and is so loved! Vegetarians need not fret as Tandoori Aloo & Paneer Tikkas and a host of other options like Paneer Khurchan/Makhani are equally delicious! Desserts are a big yes here especially the plump and luscious gulab jamuns and the chilled to perfection kulfi. Rasmalai and phirni also entice the palate, big time! Go book your tables right now!
