Throughout history, pomegranate has been considered the fruit of love, fertility and abundance. Various cultures have attributed aphrodisiac powers and link this fruit with sexual desire. The pomegranate can be eaten fresh, or used in making juices. The pomegranate can also be dried and used as a spice in the flavoring of various dishes.
