Kalyan's Post:

If you travel to Northeast India during the fall you will be abducted by the magic of Indian Autumn and its colors. Respected in the folklore of all ethnic groups of Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland for its qualities of attention and grandeur, Hornbill is closely linked to the social and cultural life of the people, as it is found in traditional tribal dances and songs and the use of its feathers and beak as ornaments. The bird is most admired for its quality and vigilance. Fear and admiration for the bird are symbolically displayed on almost all traditional tribal hats worn during festivities. In antiquity, each warrior had to earn the right to wear it by making a valuable contribution. The value and honor of the warrior were represented by the number of hornbill heads in his headgear, which was reserved only to those who had carried out particularly important social actions and therefore was a valiant warrior. The honor made the warrior a leader and consequently a king. He was a leader who has proved to have the ability to achieve the common goals. In fact, the Heads became such only after having demonstrated that they possess the necessary skills to survive and protect their own group. #travtasy
