The Patagonian Ice Field is the most extensive South American relict of the glaciological processes of the Quaternary Period. In addition, there are impressive glaciers independent of the main ice field. The Perito Moreno is the most attractive of the 365 ice masses of Los Glaciares National Park in Patagonia. In the last seven years, the number of tourists from around the world who visited it each year increased from a few thousand to more than half million, according to the park. The footbridges that allow visitors to watch the collapse of the ice blocks collide with a peninsula are becoming more and more imposing. Of the 1,400 m2 that were initially built, it is moving to 4,300 today, and there are more circuits and wider so that no one is left without seeing.
