1. Don’t take a four-wheeler - lanes are incredibly narrow and congested. Use the Metro (MGBS or Imlibun station) or an auto-rickshaw to get as close as possible. 2. Don’t carry heavy bags - For security reasons, large bags are often not allowed inside the monument 3. Don’t pay the first price you’re quoted. Bargaining is a sport in the surrounding Laad Bazaar. 4. Don’t miss the upper level of Charminar. Many people just take photos from the ground. Buy the ticket (around ₹25 for Indians, ₹300 for foreigners) to climb the spiral staircase for a panoramic view of the Old City. 5. Don’t visit during Friday afternoons. The area becomes extremely crowded during Friday prayers (Jummah), and many shops may close temporarily. 6. Don’t litter. The area is a heritage site. 7. Don’t miss the Makkah Masjid next door. One of the oldest and largest mosques in India. 8. Don’t expect digital payments everywhere. While many big shops in Laad Bazaar take cards/UPI, the ticket counter and street food vendors often prefer cash. 9. Don’t forget to try Biryani at Hotel Shadab for a more authentic taste. 10. Don’t be afraid to try the street food. Don’t be so cautious that you miss out on Irani Chai and Osmania biscuits at Nimrah Cafe. It’s a quintessential part of the Charminar experience. . #hyderabadlive #hyderabad #charminar #musttodo #travel
