SWIPE for a Boat ride in Munroe Island . Exploring Kerala Backwaters like a local is an amazing experience you should try at Munroe Island in Kollam. It costs around 1000-1500 for a 2 hr ride but the experience is worth it . . . Munroe Island is a group of eight islets located at the confluence of Ashtamudi Lake and Kallada River and it's a highly underrated and unexplored tourist destination in Kerala, known for its backwaters like Alleppey but without the crowds. While Alleppey is famous as the Venice of India, Munroe Island is called the ‘Hidden Venice of India’. The place is named in honour of Resident Colonel John Munro, of the former princely state of Travancore. . . The first photo was the one I'm post proud of at this destination, here I tried something called " zoom burst " , Basically you zoom in or out of the shot with a low shutter speed while you capture . Here I wanted to zoom in to give the audience the feeling that they are being pulled into the boat . . . In the second photo, you can see small boat on the left is a passenger local boat , you pay like an auto between stops . . . In the third photo I was trying to align the centre of the boat to the middle of the bridge along with coconut trees on the right , for symmetry , it's not perfect but I liked it . . In the fourth photo , we were entering into a new canal to explore. . . In the fifth photo, I was able to see a similar boat with tourists coming our way and Just like roads we moved towards the left and waited till they went . . . In the sixth photos , I wanted to get a higher angle so I stood up and captured the reflections and boat from a high angle and it was pretty good. . . In seventh and eighth, I loved the composition and colors more . . .
