It uses the applique technique. Small pieces of zari ribbon are applied onto the fabric with the edges sewn down to create elaborate patterns. Gota patti was only worn by royal families in the earlier times, but it has become much more commonplace today. • Kundan - Kundan embroidery on fabrics is highly sought after as the richness it bestows to the fabric is virtually unmatched by anything else. It is known for its intricate and highly detailed floral and nature-inspired designs. Typically, Parsi Gara embroidery is done on silk or georgette fabrics using colourful silk threads. • Shisha/Mirror - "Mirror work, also known as ‘shisha’ and ‘abhala bharat’, is amongst India’s most captivating traditional handicrafts.
