Janmaashtami festival that too is a joyous one. We celebrate Janmaashtami in a grand way. Its always a sort of excitement where we travel to our native place being elated. Visiting the famous kirshna temple in Udupi, attending the procession, watching and enjoying Dahi Handi rituals, prepartion of sweets and payasam at home is all part of our tradition. Dressing my little son as krishna and attending the contest held in our place gives me immense pleasure and my son just loves it. Watching all these and reading books related to lord krishna, he is slowly knowing the importance of this festival and how incredible our culture was and is. Lord krishna's stories he listens and reads always with excitement. We are surrounded by blessings, joy and fun at this time altogether. t.
