Supporting the government’s decision on school mergers is essential when it aims to strengthen education quality. Some NGOs claiming to “teach” students in slums end up reducing school admissions instead. NGOs must focus on increasing enrolment under RTE. Through our Pratigya campaign, Revamp India is reaching every basti to ensure every underprivileged child steps into a real classroom, not just a temporary setup.
