The first time I heard about mead was in the series Ragnarok, where it was highlighted as “drink of the gods.” And since then, I was quite curious to learn more about this beverage. (Of course I read Canterbury Tales but I was too naive then to even care to read about any mind altering substances mentioned in books 😂🙊) Nonetheless, mead or honey wine is one of the oldest alcoholic beverages prepared by the fermentation process. Inspired by the taste of rum, this fizzy mead is a treasure from Indian Ocean held captive by its inhabitants for years. It comes in a pretty pint bottle and contains about 10% ABV.
