✨ Some traditions are worth the flight. You know Diwali’s officially begun when someone yells — “Where’s my jhumka?!” 💛 For me, that someone has always been my partner-in-chaos — Sumana. Every year, we’d fight over the mirror, steal each other’s bindi boxes, and somehow still end up getting ready together. Sneaking gulab jamuns before the guests arrived, arguing over who looked better — and laughing till the diya wax melted. 🕯️✨ This year, the mirror’s quieter. No chaos. No laughter echoing down the hallway. Just me… and memories of what home felt like when she was here. Sumana, the gulab jamun is still warm, and the diyas are waiting.
