#DowlatVillasPalaceTheHeritage @dowlatvillaspalace A early 20th century British Colonial palace located in the first class ( 15guns salute) state of Idar, Himmatnagar was where our last #FEATrail was hosted. It's the private residence of Maharaj #NarendraSinghJi of Idar, son of Late Maharaj Umegsinghji who was awarded with 24 government medals and decorations for outstanding honorary services to Home gaurds and Civil defenses. The palace boasts of classic and vintage car museum, with beasts from America, Germany and UK, special mention may be made of the Buick 1953 special series, being the only one of its kind in the entire state of Gujarat. Apart from cars and royal collections , there is also a Mango Orchard with the special 'Idar Ratan' variety of Mango, especially crafted for H.H Maharaja Himmat Singhji of Idar. The best part is , the palace is now open for civilians for several activities such as Homestay, Wedding Venue, Corporate events to Personal Photoshoots etc. Now coming to the Food, one of the finest Royal Food that I had the privilege to try. A huge spread of Royal Food was laid out for us in glittering silver crockeries. These are the rare occasion when I feel blessed and the luckiest one. It was curated by the Maharani Nirupma ji and her Daughter in law Geetanjali ji themselves with their own secret royal recipes which made every single dish standout from other royal food in the vicinity. From Jodhpuri Lal Maans, Signature Smoked White Chicken, Maans Pickle, Pichle Aloo to Pumpkin Halwa with Rabdi, Rani Nirupma Ji Black Sauce, everything on the table was fingerlickingly delicious.
