●Marriage, but in our way.● 1. Sindoor & mangalsutra? Never a daily thing. But on the days I wear them—he looks at me like I walked out of a Yash Raj movie. He cant stop praising me, and I love that smile on his face while clicking my "6yards of elegance" pics when I go full "trad wife" mode… occasionally. 2. Relatives' advice? Listened to, respected, then mentally parked in the ‘Suggestions’ folder. Thanks, but no thanks. We like Version 2.0 of married life. 3. We prioritise our passion for travel over a long list of “mandatory visits.” Conversations with that one uncle and aunty? Still a task 😅 But breaking stereotypes was never meant to be easy. 4. Household chores? Shared. I cook, he cleans, the cats mess it all up in 5 minutes. Still, 50-50 in the work… and the blame game. 5. We’ve decided to be child-free, for now. because our life already feels full—with dreams, chaos, cuddly paws, and each other. 6. Emotional labor isn’t gendered. He remembers anniversaries. I forget where I kept my own passport. Balance, in our own weird ways. 7. Romance looks different. Sometimes it’s him brewing my coffee just the way I like it. Sometimes it’s me not saying “I told you so.” We didn’t do it *their* way. We did it our way. And honestly? It’s working beautifully. --- Which “rule” do you relate to most? Tag your partner and share one unconventional thing *you* do as a couple. Let’s normalise love without a template. ❤️ #couples #marriedlife❤️ #breakingstereotypes
