
How I Became the Face of the Iconic Amul Manthan Ad Sometimes, the most unexpected opportunities turn out to be the most unforgettable ones. When the team behind Brand @amul_india was searching for a fresh face for their next campaign, I had no idea that my name was even in the running. The legendary director @subodhpoddar55 had considered several well-known Bollywood actresses and top models, but ultimately, he zeroed in on me. I was both surprised and unsure when I first got the call. Subodh briefly explained the concept over the phone, but to be honest, I assumed it was a documentary-style film, and I hesitated. Something in me wasn’t ready to commit. But Subodh, so full of belief in his vision—and in me—insisted on meeting in person. He said, “Just let me show you the storyboard.” That meeting changed everything. When he laid out the storyboard and walked me through each frame, I was instantly captivated. His storytelling, his aesthetic, and his quiet passion for the film swept me off my feet. There was such beauty, simplicity, and depth in what he envisioned. Without a second thought, I said yes. We shot the ad in Anand, Gujarat, the birthplace of the milk revolution, and I can honestly say it remains one of the most enriching experiences of my life.
