Jay's Post

- It all started with a Instagram post one of my friend saw the lush green sahyadri mountains with a waterfall that was falling straight from sky and it was calling her. So she came from Ahmednagar to Pune and our sudden plan of two people was now with 5 people We started at morning 5.30 for bhira village, We took a stop after 1.30 hours of journey at  tamhini ghat and decided to enjoy some hot Maggie with some chai, After some energy with the food we started the journey ahead and reached bhira village in 2.30 hours by 7.30 and started unpacking for a long trek that was about to make our little breakfast burn up quickly The Devkund Waterfall trek distance is about 5-6 Kms on one side. The trek route is plain in the majority of the portions and at the end  reached a man made bridge of wood which is used to cross the river and it blew all the thoughts in mind away It is believed that Kundalika river originates at Devkund. The two mountains merge and the water which is flowing through small lanes of these mountains get collected to form this huge 80ft waterfall which dips down into a 30 meter pond creating a illusion like a long mirror is shinning light through the forest I sat down closing my eyes listening to the sound of this waterfall and I forgot myself sitting there almost for 30 mins until my friend nudged me Spending 3 hours there in the pond of water and sitting there just made the trip successful we noticed a lot of garbage is thrown in the way mostly plastic bottles and chips packets which people bring for the long trek and throw away in this beautiful place Making it less beautiful each day So we decided to pickup all the plastic we see on our way out and I was surprised to see that our bag was filled with plastic and chips packets in around 20 mins of trekking back. This was really devastating to see as the nature here was getting expoited by the people visiting and no one is considering this as a real harm I really request everyone who visits any place which is now conserved to take uttermost care and not throw any garbage in these places #storiesbythrillophilia♥️ #photographers_of_india #devkund #tripotocommunity #nustaharamkhor #thrillophilia
