Last night, post 12 hours of harrowing road travel and a huge goof up by Flix bus, i reached Bratislava exhausted, anxious and fed up! Then I take a cab , he doesn't speak a word of English and is unable to locate my stay! He threatens to drop me and my big bags on the road and then I see my stay! Checking in , I realise they have given me a room on the 3rd floor with no lift! What about my bags? The receptionist doesn't care! I request a fellow resident and he fortunately helped! By the end of it, i thought why did I come here? Showered and slept! Woke up for my tour hopeful The guide , not so great ! After tolerating her for 45 minutes, I kinda had it! Excused myself and left Thankfully! Had the most beautiful and fun day in this entire trip ! Seriously! Did all I wished to do Googled each sculpture (Bratislava is full of them ) and building Ate, shopped, chatted with strangers (the best conversations ) and ended my day at the President's gardens playing with an adorable toddler ❤️. I had to force myself to head back as now my feet were in agony ! DONT JUDGE A BOOK BY THE COVER Bratislava isn't as beautiful perhaps as Krakow or as advanced as Warsaw but it's authentic.
