There’s something about the sound of rain that brings peace to the heart but also a quiet sadness. When it rains it reminds me of the past of moments that once felt so alive. I look outside and see the plants moving with the wind and suddenly I’m taken back to a time when life felt more simple. I remember standing in the rain smiling without any worries. Back then we used to enjoy the rain truly feel it. We didn’t just watch it from behind a window like we do now. Now things have changed. We’ve grown life has moved on and we carry more on our shoulders. But even so the rain still brings a strange comfort. It feels like it understands. Like it’s quietly reminding us of who we were and the people and memories we still hold close.
