Part 2 of my Udaipur adventure started with a visit to the magnificent City Palace. This architectural marvel left me in awe with its grandiose courtyards, stunning balconies, and intricate artwork. We decided to hire a guide to get the most out of our visit, but unfortunately, he was a bit rude and left us midway through the tour. Despite this hiccup, we continued to explore on our own and had a wonderful time soaking in the palace’s rich history and beauty. After the palace, we savored a traditional Rajasthani meal of authentic dal baati churma, a delicious and hearty treat that perfectly captured the local flavors. Our next destination was the Karni Mata Temple, which we reached via an exhilarating ropeway ride that offered breathtaking views of the city below. The temple itself, perched atop a hill, was serene and offered a peaceful respite from the bustling city. As the day began to wind down, we found ourselves back at Fatehsagar Lake. This time, we enjoyed some folk music that added a magical touch to the evening. Sipping on chai and relishing a plate of Maggi by the lakeside, we soaked in the vibrant atmosphere and the serene beauty of the sunset.
