Holi, Rangpanchami, Dhuleti, this festival of colors comes in the month of Phalgun, but many people wait for it throughout the year. This festival which falls in the last month of the Marathi month is a yearning for people of all ages. Maharashtrians make Puranpoli specially on this day. Today let's learn how to make homemade mava gujiya. You can keep this dish at home for a long time. Let's see the easy method of making mawa gujiya. Content for Homemade Mawa Gujiya Recepie Ingredients of Mawa Guajia 2 cups of maida/ all purpose flour. 250 grams Mawa/ Khowa. 1 cup of sugar. 1 tsp cardamom powder. 10 to 12 charoli/ chironji. 10 to 12 kismish. 1 teaspoon of coconut flakes. 300 g ghee or oil for frying. 3glass sugar 1glass water Process: Take mawa in a pan and fry till light brown color. When it turns reddish brown in color, remove it from the pot and keep it aside. Grind the sugar in a mixer. Now mix sugar, charoli, kishmis and elaichi powder well. After the mawa cools down, add sugar and mix it well. Add 5 teaspoons of ghee to the flour and rub the flour well with your fingers, then add water to the flour and make a dough. After kneading, cover it with a soft cloth for half an hour. Now make 10 small balls of the dough and roll it into small balls. I am not using any gujiya cutter as I am making from hands only if you want you can use the gujiya cutter too. So, just just roll the pati small size place the stuffing use maida liquid in the edges of pati to fix it now turn it in the shape of semi circle and lock it from uper side and give the design. Make the same gujiya for the rest of the balls. Now heat ghee in a pan on low flame and fry gujia on low flame. Fry the gujiya on both sides until light golden. Do not try to put more than 5 or 6 gujiyas in the pan at a time. I hope after reading this recipe you will definitely make this dish at home. For sugar syrup take a pan add 3glass sugar and 1 glass water. Boil it till it gets a texture for 10 to 15 minutes and closs the flame and pour your gujiya properly and take out and keep in plate for cooling.
