“People enter our lives for a reason. Some people stay for a short period and some people stay for longer. But no matter the length, they leave footprints on our hearts.” ⭐️⭐️⭐️ After losing her father to cancer, Alexandria dreams of a fresh start in a new city and at a new college. But a misunderstanding led her to share the apartment with a bad boy, Elijah. Alex tries to keep Elijah away from her, but he is the only one who understands and feels her pain and grief. Both are not looking for love nor for a relationship, but there is an invisible connection that keeps them connected. The novel begins beautifully, and the struggle, anguish, and pain of the cancer patient's family are superbly conveyed. I liked both characters and felt connected to them at first, but after a while, I became distant and had to work hard to connect with them. Elijah does not feel like the bad guy, and there is little connection with the other characters and also misunderstanding at the beginning that is never cleared up at the end. The romance and chemistry between them are pretty interesting. The story is light and fast-paced, with plenty of clichéd moments that are enjoyable to read after a long time. There are some moments that I truly loved and enjoyed reading, and that made me smile and sad. This book contains an adolescent romance, making it ideal for new and young readers.
