Full day of game drive in Masai Mara - was it too much or totally worth it? From the minute we entered the park, our jaws kept dropping. We were spotting animals almost nonstop - lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffalos, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, hyenas, hippos, crocodiles, and so many more! We saw a cheetah with a fresh kill, lions eating an Impala, Wildebeests running in massive herds, Zebras crossing our path, a leopard chilling on a tree, and even hippos running away from a giraffe (yes, really!). It felt like the scene change every 10 minutes!! 📍Masai Mara – What & Where? Masai Mara is a National Reserve in Kenya, close to the Tanzanian border. It’s one of the best places in the world for a Wildlife Safari, especially during the Great Migration. We went in July - which is the perfect time because millions of Wildebeests and Zebras move into Kenya from Tanzania in search of fresh grass. 🎫 Entry Fee * $80 per person per day (i.e., Rs.16,000/person/day) * If your stay is outside the park, you have to pay this again every day you re-enter * You can pay at the gate or online through the eCitizen portal 🧳 Tips for Your Safari Day: * Start early - wildlife is most active between 6–9 AM * Wear neutral colours - avoid bright shades to blend into the environment * Carry a light jacket - mornings are very cold, but it gets hot later * Take snacks, lots of water, sunglasses, sunscreen * Binoculars and a zoom lens if you enjoy photography * Full day or half day? If you love wildlife, go for the full day. It’s tiring, but totally worth it!! 🇰🇪 Kenya Travel Tips for Indians: * ETA can be applied online - etakenya.go.ke * Yellow fever Vaccjne is mandatory to enter Kenya from India and has to be taken atleast 10 days prior to travel date . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #masaimara #kenya2025 #kenyattraveltips #bangalorebloggers Masai Mara, Things to do in Kenya
