This has to be One of the Most Scenic Flights I have ever taken in my LIFE ☺️ . Combine UK, Switzerland and Holland, yet the Great Barrier Reef is bigger than all these combined! Imagine the massive size of this Living Structure that it can even be seen from SPACE 😱 During our recent trip to Queensland, we booked this adventurous Whitsundays & Heart Reef Scenic Flight through @oceanrafting and had our minds blown 🤯 - It’s home to over 1625 types of fish that includes Reef Sharks & Whale Sharks too, and holds over 30 species of Dolphins and Whales! - Due to its enormous ecological significance, the GBR was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Now I’m sure you must be thinking that corals are marine plants, right? But corals are actually ANIMALS or COLONIES OF ORGANISMS! While seeing them from up above is absolutely surreal, but to witness these hard and soft corals more closely and experience their phenomenal variety of hues, textures and shapes, one must definitely opt for Snorkelling or Scuba Diving here too!
