And now I may be a tigress too, but I’ll always need you. I pray that all the happiness and good health meant for me, goes to you instead. You taught me what real, unconditional love feels like. Yes, we fight. Yes, sometimes I don’t understand you. But deep down, I know it’s always because you’re trying to protect me. I joke that I love Papa more, but the truth is I wouldn’t be even 1% of who I am without your love. You are my everything. You often say I don’t call enough. I wish I could come and see you more. Because phone calls aren’t really my thing… but I miss your smell, your touch, and sleeping on your lap more than words can say.
