France is really famous for its gastronomy. Sadly for vegetarians and vegans, we cannot try most of their dishes since they consist of meat. While Veg options in France are limited, there’s not a single restaurant that I’ve been to where I haven’t found a perfect alternative. The only trick is to ask for the correct thing. At most places, they consider Fish and Eggs to be Veg here. And a Vegan meal is one with no meat or eggs, but it still consists of dairy products. Once you ask for a ‘Vegan’ meal (pronounced Way-Gaan), you’ll be served an ideal Vegetarian meal which will satisfy your tastebuds! 😋 Of course, if you’re a practicing Vegan, who doesn’t consume dairy, you need to specify “sans produits laitiers”, and you’re good to go. 🫶🏻 A little confusing, yes. But knowing this can help you avoid consumption of meat and eggs (for whatever reason that may be). P.s- of course there are exceptions to this. This rule applies to majority, but not all. #vegetarianinfrance #veganinfrance #végétal #vegetarienne #vegetarien #repasfrançais #gastronomiefrancaise #foodinfrance #frenchfoods #frenchrestaurants #studentsinfrance #travelfrance #internationalstudentlife
