Over the past year and a half, there’s been one particular song that I’ve found myself singing the most. During this time, I grappled with moments of doubt about the existence of a higher power. These were the moments when my father, mother, and I were frequently falling ill. I vividly recall quietly singing this song in front of the Intensive Care Unit (as loud as possible in my mind🫣). Meanwhile, my sister took it upon herself to ensure our safety, no matter what hardships she had to endure. I, on the other hand, felt a sense of helplessness during those days. I tried to let go of my frustrations in every way imaginable, unlike my sister, who set her troubles aside and discovered a sense of peace in our collective recovery. Now, let me explain why this song held such significance for me. As I’ve shared in my previous posts, Vairagya songs, which evoke a sense of detachment, hold a special place in my heart. I turned to prayer and diligently observed various rituals and services in an attempt to ease our situation, but it wasn’t until the right moment arrived that things began to fall into place. Life has a way of being unpredictable, and through this experience, I’ve learned to transform seemingly uneventful moments into sources of joy and happiness.
